Homemade Baby Mezclun Mix



Lettuce Varieties:

Red Salad Bowl
Parris Island Cos (Romaine)
Royal Oakleaf (Green)

Strawberry Rhubarb Custard Pie

Found a recipe here for this pie.

I didn't use water and eye-balled the milk.  I put maybe 1/2cup less sugar but added some jam into the custard.  It was still too sweet for my taste.  The quantity of rhubarb was closer to 1 1/2cups (3 stalks).  I also added more strawberries..maybe closer to 2 cups.

White Sangria

1 bottle of white wine
3 shots of pear brandy
3 sm white peaches, 1/2in cubes
1/2cup white grapes, halved
1 green apple, 1/2in cubes
1 anjou pear, 1/2in cubes
1 pint of raspberries
2-3 tbsp of sugar
lime and lemon, squeezed juice in
1 orange peeled and sliced

Mix it all together.  Top off the drinks with a touch of seltzer and voila!

Stuffed Swiss Chard

A bunch of swiss chard
ground beef
rice
goat cheese
parmesan, swiss
oregano, sage, rosemary, s/p
olive oil
tomato sauce
pesto mix: blend of garlic, basil, and olive oil
small onion

I tweeked it a bit, adding goat cheese.  I think the goat cheese really set it off.
